Destiny of the Sword is a coming-of-age tale about a young prince, Ayden, who witnessed his family’s kingdom fall during a civil war uprising. For his protection, Ayden was hidden in a secluded village deep in the mountains with hope that one day he would be strong enough to return as king.

When Ayden finally returns to the land once ruled by his legendary, exiled father, he must battle against an enemy he thought was dead long ago to reclaim his family’s kingdom. But upon returning home, Ayden finds something he never anticipated… love. Soon he discovers that love is a power greater than any sword or magical spell. And the survival of their world hinges on the fate of a love and the destiny of a sword.

Destiny of the Sword was written while I was in college at ACM. Every bit of spare time I wasn't studying or working my day job, I was writing. I needed to get it out of my head and onto paper. It haunted me. I saw images and scenes-- but I didn't know what or why. I felt like I was not its creator but simply on an adventure myself to discover this tale of unyielding love wrapped up in a medieval sword-epic. But this story and this world became so massive that Destiny turned out to be only the 1st act.
